photo entry again. =) I was supposed to meet Jasmine at Eunos MRT at 12.30 today...but apparently she reached there at around 12.10? haahaaa...Sorry to have you waiting girl! Anyways we took the train down to Somerset to meet her bf (I dunno wad's his name. lols. Jasmine you haven't tell me sia.). Okok...on to the DJ party. This year's event wasn't really THAT interesting for me...partly because I ain't really interested in hardcore rock anymore. Furthermore I heard that none of the bands were playing GLAY covers. So I sian diao le. But oh well...its okay. I'd rather go watch GLAY themselves play their own songs man. ahaahahaaa. Someday I'll watch Sashi play his yummy Yuuwaku solo live! Okok....ramblings aside. On to the photos. First band I saw when I reached there...dunno what's their band name...  They played mostly Dir en Grey and a Moi Dix Mois cover. Actually they're kinda good...just lack stage presence...All I can say is that I'm a wee bit impressed with the guitarist (who looked like HYDE according to Jasmine. lols). Fanciful display of skills but his playing wasn't very "clean". The tapping part caught me off guard. heheh. Kinda cool. The vocalist wasn't that bad too. Love their Dir en Grey's Ain't Afraid to Die cover. =) Band: Now Playing   oooooo! Zefeng's band! I must say I really did enjoyed their performance. Their vocalist was soooo goooooooooood I was daaaaaaaamn impressed! They played covers of Tokyo Jihen, Shiina Ringo's band. I totally love Sounan! That loungey feeling was there man. Their drummer, Marcus, was from my ex-band...heheh. Zefeng's guitar lines were pretty good too, but it could have been better if it were louder. Maybe I was standing on the right when his amp was on the left of the stage. Yea...couldn't really hear his lines. I really like the emphasis on the bass lines! ahhh....superb performance. I can say that it's the best performance out of all I've seen! ^^V Band: Le Foret    Nika's band! They played mostly Dir en Grey and Depairs Ray(SP? dun really listen to their stuff...). I thought Nika's guitar was a little off tune...Couldn't hear her Stay Away solo man. Big let down. Anyways all I can say is that their drummer's not bad. Their last song, Marmalade Chainsaw, was the best out of all the songs they performed. =) Hyde's hair was kinda nice. I had this urge to mess his hair up. lols. I think the mic didn't like him...it was like screwed throughout Saku. haahaa. Overall it was a good attempt la...Nika jia you k? ^^ Band: Aries Kaiser     Yea...that guy's holding on to a Fender Jaguar...oooooo so shiny! =D Yea it's them again alright. Met them at the NUS gig, last yr's DJ party, and probably the DJ party 2 yrs ago too. lols. Anyways they had a female guest vocalist with them today. Sang 2 covers of Judy and Mary songs. Dunno the first song but the second one is the theme song for Rurouni kenshin. I'm not much of a J&M fan...don't like the vocalist's voice. It's too piercing. After the 2 songs its back to L'arc-en-Ciel covers baby. The songs they played were the same as those played at the NUS gig...I think. Can't really remember. I liked Heaven's Drive and Honey. Oh yea...previously they only had a guitarist...now they have 2...cos' Marionette's Shion(sp?) joined em'. I thought the songs had more texture with the addition of 1 member. That's all! Didn't stay for very long...my legs and back were like hella aching from standing too long. And IT WAS RAINING LIKE CATS AND DOGS! Gods...and I even wore slippers there man. My feet were like totally soaked! Sickening! Summore these 2 guys were like squeezing in front of me and Jasmine and they stayed put right in front of us. Being as short as we are, we couldn't see a damn thing. Damn them. After Aries Kaiser's performance we decided to go sit somewhere and have a drink...Went to BK at Cineleasure to hang out for a bit. Saw one whole group of cosplayers there...lols. Dunno who they were cosplaying man...I think I'm like lagging behind. I only recognised Reno from FF7. Love her bright red wig pls. Must have cost a hell lot. Reno's hair is like super nice. Oh! I saw a few people carrying their dollfies around!!! I was so jealous!!! I so want one!!!! sobs... From there on...it was window shopping. Lols. Didn't buy anything...nothing seems to interest me now these days. So after some walking I decided to head back home. at around 5-6+!? That's like damn early la. But since it was kinda boring for me over at the gig I decided to just go home laaa. I feel kinda guilty for missing out on Myidarre's performance...lols. =X ooooo. that's the end for today's entry. Superly long post. ahaaaa. Shall post more piccies once I get the rest from Jasmine. ^^V Love ya girl! __________________________________ Edit Ooooo...Pei Yee (My new found fellow GLAY fan! yayness!) just sent me a few photos of Nanase Aikawa live at Fort Canning on the 10th this month. Argh...it's a pity I didn't go...I was really damn reluctant to go for the gig cos Fort Canning is one hell of a lousy place to jam at. Btws Pei Yee said the crowd wasn't very large...probably because Nanase isn't really popular in SG. But its a good thing...a small crowd would mean that you could get real close to her! >___<   Credits to Pei Yee
