now playing: kiri - MONORAL releases:  Aqua Timez - Alones (1/8) *arrggghhhh! I can't get enough of the A-side song! Everytime I listen to it I keep thinking of kon singing in the opening of bleach. arrggghhhh stupid kon. squishy fluffy irritating stomp-able kon is so lovable. I know tons of people who are waiting for this release. bwahaha. Probably a marketing strategy? MAYBE.   BUCK-TICK - Alice in Wonder Underground (8/8) BUCK-TICK - 天使のリボルバー (12/9) *highly anticipated, though their previous album 十三階は月光 gave me the creeps. In fact the only track I liked was probably Romance-incubo-.  Utada Hikaru - Beautiful World/Kiss&Cry (29/8) *I've listened to this single. I'm quite surprised that Beautiful World was made the theme for Rebuild of Evangelion 01. Actually I would've prefered a remake of 残酷な天使のテーゼ or something, although there are probably a million and one versions released already. Kiss&Cry's the best out of the three, probably the song she wrote as an aftermath of a divorce? I don't know. Fly me to the Moon's okay, though I prefer the ones in NGE's OSTs.  MONORAL - Turbulence (4/7) *I'm only listening to this album for Visions in my head and Kiri. Can't seem to get into the other tracks. It seems that Utada's Beautiful World is gonna be the theme song for the upcoming Evangelion movie set to be released on 1st Sept. I'm thoroughly thrilled! The movie's the first out of four, collectively known as the Rebuild of Evangelion. I've watched the TV series and totally loved it...I've actually watched the whole series thrice. Although it was made at a low budget 12 years ago, it didn't look cheap at all, as compared the low budget anime today which I don't really have much to comment on. One thing I couldn't understand was why some fans of eva thought the ending of the series sucked. I thought it had a more appropriate conclusion, although End of Evangelion did dwell further into the Instrumentality project. I can't express in words how much I love the series, all that I can say is that I've been an avid fan of NGE's for years. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the movies, especially the improvements in the graphics (SEELE and NERV's logos were redesigned btw) . Hopefully we'll get to know if Shinji choses Rei or Asuka! ^^;; I heard there's gonna be a live action movie in the far faaar future, like 2010 or something. I certainly hope it doesn't get ang moh-fied because I won't be able to accept a caucasian cast. EVANGELION:1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE trailer: promo poster:
